Dent Doctor Nelspruit: Visual content
Art is a diverse range of human activities in creating visual, auditory or performing artifacts (artworks), expressing the author’s imaginative, conceptual ideas, or technical skill, intended to be appreciated for their beauty or emotional power. In their most general form these activities include the production of works of art, the criticism of art, the study of the history of art, and the aesthetic dissemination of art. – Wilkipedia.
Why in the world would we start a blog post about dent removal and panelbeating with the definition of art, well, it’s quite simple , because doing this takes pretty much just as much skill patience and know-how as creating an artwortk or sculpture. Panelbeating and Dent removal is more artistic than most people might think. It’s dirty , time consuming , innovative , unique and creative, all qualities that one might need when creating art.
We were recently assigned to try and create images that resembled this artistic side of panel beating and dent removal for Dent Doctor nelspruit. Going ino the shoot, Sven looked at some examples of Desmond Louw’s work, a cape town based photographer, who shot a campaign for isuzu, and we enjoyed the look and feel of his images.
We got to Dent Doctor and we were supriesed by the expertise and cleanliness of everything on the premises. We had two hours to try and produce magic, luckily there were some pretty cool areas that we got to work in such as the spray room with interesting lights , adding to the artistic look that we went for. All in all we are extremely happy with how the shoot went , and how the final product came out. Working some magic with our mobile light and bring in the flash for some kicklight effect, gave the images quoite a unique feel.
We thoroughly enjoyed the session at Dent Doctor and to quote Sven “One day when I’m big I want to put my camera down and beat, shape and paint body panels!!! I actually really really do” Who knows maybe someday we’ll offer media services with some panel beating thrown into the mix!
